The Cry Me a River Award goes to Rust Creek for pretty much showing someone crying a river... or at least a creek.
The Some Countries Can't Handle Baldness Award goes to the UK for The Hummingbird Project. See if you can spot the difference between it and the Australian design.
The Best Character Death Announced With a Poster Award goes to Avengers: Endgame for revealing Shuri's fate by including her in the black and white "dusted" character posters.
The Madame Tussaud Award goes to The Best of Enemies poster for airbrushing Taraji P. Henson to the point where she looks like a wax figure of herself.
The Utterly Oblivious Award goes to Morgan Freeman in the German poster for Angel Has Fallen for casually standing with his hands in his pockets amidst all the chaos.
The Most Annoying Expression Award goes to Adam Devine in the Jexi poster.
The Most Controversial Poster Award goes to the Australian outdoor art for It: Chapter Two that had parents complaining about it frightening their children.
The Worst Pun Award goes to Morticia's character poster for The Addams Family and its "Staight outta coffin" tagline.
The Kaleidoscope Award goes to Braid for its lovely (and slightly creepy) symmetrical design.
The Dramatic Tonal Shift Award goes to the German poster for Ad Astra. After numerous posters simply showing a brooding Brad Pitt we figured this would be a sci-fi drama along the lines of Solaris. But then, out of nowhere, we've got a shootout on space buggies!
The Fluffiest Poster Award goes to Abominable for having touchable fur on the initial poster.
The Dumbest Expression Award goes to Kevin Hart in Jumanji: The Next Level
The Smallest Villain Award goes to Tito Ortiz in Trauma Center for his unfortunate placement on the poster. "The enemy is closer than you think." Yes, and he's also smaller than you think. Watch out, he's going for your kneecaps. Noooooo!
The Most Bored Character Poster Award goes to Vanessa Kirby for her Hobbs & Shaw poster. She looks like she's starting to get fed up with the photographer after too many shots.
The Best Smile Award goes to Luke Wilson in Zombieland: Double Tap.
The Flying Spittle Award goes to the various character posters for Wonder Park for obvious reasons.
The Most Inventive Title Font goes to Holiday Hell for incorporating Valentine's Day candies, a knife, a Christmas tree, a menorah, and lots of blood into their title.
The Creepiest Character Poster Award goes to Psyduck in the poster for Pokemon: Detective Pikachu.
The Most Repulsive Character Poster Award goes to Elle Lamont as Screwhead in Alita: Battle Angel.
The Accidental Intruder Award goes to Jo Lo Truglio in the poster for
Here Awhile. Not since Philip Seymour Hoffman wandered into the poster for
Charlie Wilson's War has a character seemed so irrelevant to the scene.
The Emotional Opposites Award goes to the poster for
Last Christmas featuring a very uncomfortable Emilia Clarke and a perfectly content Emma Thompson. Interestingly enough, Emma Thompson gets to experience things the other way around in the poster for
Late Night.
The Hidden Object Game Award goes to the poster for Under the Silver Lake. We're still finding more words, objects, and faces skillfully hidden within the palm trees, the bubbles, and the woman's hair.
The Worst Shape Made Out of Nature Award goes to the poster for Clinton Road. We love designs where natural items (like trees) end up forming the shape of something ominous. But for it to work it has to look at least somewhat believable. Here we have sections of trees magically hanging like stalactites, totally ruining any effect they were trying to achieve.
The Best Shape Made Out of Nature Award goes to the Chinese posters for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
The Most Confusing Tagline Without the Title Award goes to After. Read the tagline on its own and you get "Your first, life is never the same." which would be a little baffling.
The Either Way Is Fine Award goes to the poster for Honey Boy that can be hung upside-down with no problem.
The Smallest Character Poster Award goes to Giggle McDimples for being so tiny you almost need a magnifying glass to make her out.
The Dramatic Mood Shift Award goes to the French poster for Parasite for seriously lightening the mood.
The Best Poster for a Non-Existent Film goes to Operazione Dyn-O-Mite! from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The Could've Been A Horror Poster Award goes to the teaser for Downton Abbey. With that tagline all you'd need to do is switch the fork to a knife, add a little blood on the white gloves, and you'd have yourself a mighty creepy poster. Downton Abattoir perhaps?
