What is it with Nicolas Cage movie posters? Sure, there's the occasional classic like Lord of War, but in recent years he seems to have the exact same stupid expression on almost all of his posters, instantly making them leading contenders for this category. But this Mexican design, featuring a badly cut out image of him standing in front of a bizarre mish-mash of creepy images just takes it to a whole new level of bad.

That may be John Travolta's head. That might even be John Travolta's body. But there is something terribly wrong with the way that head and body have been pasted together. Check out the UK cover art for the film to see the same head in slightly more comfortable surroundings.

One can almost imagine the process that created this. They begin with a simple mock up with Keanu and the two actresses behind him. Someone keeps asking to have the women moved in closer and closer until they are half hidden. But now it looks like a love triangle instead of a thriller. Add a cord around him so we know it's not a romance. But after "50 Shades" people might still think it's a romance. Toss in a big knife so we know something bad is going down, even if Keanu is blissfully unaware of it. Perfect!

Sometimes it can be hard to judge posters for black comedies. Just like the movies themselves, they are meant to feel a little "off". The UK quad for this film, which features similar art, works fine, but this one is way off. No idea what Reynolds is looking at and he either has an incredibly large hand or the rest of his body is a lot further away than it appears.
