2008 Internet Movie Poster Awards - Worst Teaser Nominees

City of Ember

This poster is brought to you by the letter E. A teaser should grab your attention and pique your curiosity. A single symbol might work for Superman or Star Trek but most people are likely to simply be confused by this E with the lightning bolt in it.
The Love Guru

There's only one thing wrong with this poster and that is that repulsive creature on it. Run away!
Meet the Browns

Most of the teasers for Tyler Perry's films have been quite original and eye-catching. This one is the exception. At the very least there could've been something interesting hanging out of the suitcase.
Righteous Kill

De Niro. Pacino. Surely these two stars deserved something better than this. Based on their expressions one can imagine the next frame showing them beating the photographer up. Worse yet, the way their shoulders meet makes them appear to be conjoined twins.
Wanted

Angelina Jolie's arm is skinny enough as is but with the lighting on this poster she looks downright anorexic - making viewers more worried about her health than the plot of the movie.

and the winner is...

Wanted most deff

Yellow Jacket01-13-2009 21:00 [E,W]
Meet the Browns. Way too much white space for a poster.

Boby01-14-2009 03:46 [E,W]
Righteous Kill. There's just something about that poster that seems cheap and amateurish to me.

My vote goes to ''Wanted.'' (And on a side note, I don't think the teaser poster for ''Meet the Browns'' is that bad.)

Mark01-19-2009 02:00 [E,W]
Righteous Kill -- two mediocre photos run over by a bunch of cheap texture and half-toning.

I pick The Love Guru.
