Dark Knight is really cool and the Wrestler is a great depiction of the narrative but Cloverfield is iconic, and that poster will continue its iconic status for years to come. |

but there is definitely already a built-in audience for the joker, heath ledger, and the batman series- people will automatically gravitate to a story, image or character that has been around for decades (it's an EASY thing to sell), where as all of the other nominees are working with relatively unknown stories and characters, which means they have to rely *soley* on the poster's execution, narrative and iconography which makes them stronger. |
